Discussions:
- Merger:
- After discussion with Virginia, COE Chair at 6320, COE to begin joint tasks with 6320 due to pending merger.
- A joint meeting with 6320 COE is scheduled for Thursday, April 19, 2007, 6:30 PM at the Local 6310 office.
- National COE Meeting:
- Scheduled for November 2007.
- Membership is likely to pay to send the Chairperson and 1 member
- We must raise funding to send the remainder of the committee
- Vendor days
- Raffles
- Selling Domino’s Pizza cards
- Selling Nacho’s and other food items
- Bake Sale
- Funnel Cake sale
- Fish Fry
- Talent show (6310 Idol)
- Trivia Night
- Community Awareness:
- Goal is to gain positive recognition within the community. Potential projects:
- Volunteering to help a school or medical clinic
- Paint the Childrens’ Home at 67 & St. Charles Rock Rd. (exterior)
- Provide materials and labor – looking for a sponsor to donate materials.
- Minority Caucus
- Held in Toronto, Canada in July of 2007.
- Need additional fund raising activities to pay for this trip.
